Nestled in the lush green Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar lies the nature lover’s paradise – Chandaka Nature Camp. Run by the Odisha ecotourism department, this camp offers a perfect escape into nature away from the hustle of the city. Spread over an area of 193.39 sq. Km on the North-Eastern Ghats is Chandaka-Dampara Natural Life Asylum, connecting the Capital City of Odisha, Bhubaneswar. The Safe-haven is a bright mix of semi-evergreen woods, Bamboo brakes, and lavish green blended woodlands.
It is home to various wild creatures and birds and the wilderness is the place for the wild Elephants, which invest wholeheartedly in being the Leader types of this woods. There are two Nature Camps in Chandaka-Dampara Untamed Life Safe-haven Deras Nature Camp (8 cabins) and Godibari Nature Camp (8 suites), 5 Km starting with one objective and then onto the next. Both the Nature Camps are 20 km from the Capital City of Bhubaneswar in a similar heading.
You can see huge stretches of green knolls, tall grasses, waterholes, and untamed life moving from one specialty to another in the wild from various perspectives inside the Safe-haven while moving in the Wilderness Safari on timberland streets. Operating Timings & Entry Fees
The camp is open from October to June yearly. To maintain the ecology, it remains closed in monsoons. The entry timings are 8 AM to 5 PM. You can book day tours or overnight camping packages. Chandaka nature camps ticket prices are nominal at just INR 50 per head for day tours.
