Nuapada Tourism
Nuapada is a city in the western region of Odisha, India. It serves as the headquarters of Nuapada district, which was carved out of the former Kalahandi district in 1993. Situated on the border with Chhattisgarh, the district is linguistically and culturally part of Odisha.
Prior to 1993, Nuapada was a part of Kalahandi district. However, for administrative convenience, Kalahandi was divided into two separate districts – Kalahandi and Nuapada. Nuapada district now comprises one sub-division (Nuapada), five talukas (Nuapada, Komana, Khariar, Sinapalli and Boden), and five community development blocks (Khariar, Sinapalli, Boden, Nuapada and Komna).
