Biju Patnaik was a legendary figure in Odisha, celebrated as a politician, freedom fighter, and skilled pilot. His coffin was draped in the national flags of India, Indonesia, and Russia upon his passing in 1997, underscoring his statewide, national, and international renown. This park stands as a small but poignant tribute to Patnaik’s remarkable life and legacy.

The park, spanning approximately 23 acres, features towering trees, lush greenery, vibrant rosaries, and picturesque rockeries. Further amenities include activity centers, a Floating Mountain, and a Musical Fountain. Boating is also available for visitors to the park.
