Biraja Odia Calendar July 2026

The Odia Heritage of the Birja Calendar represents the merging of the Time Table and Spirituality. Pandit Sri Chandra Sekhar Nanda created the Birja Calendar for over 30 years.

As part of the Birja Panjika, the Birja Calendar is more than just a calendar that states what day it is; it is also an invaluable resource that contains a wealth of information about what days are military or religiously auspicious or not; therefore, it will help its users plan ceremonies and celebrate milestones, etc., at an ideal time.

Just like the Gregorian Calendar, the Biraja Odia Calendar has twelve months. The twelve months of the Biraja Odia Calendar are: (1) Baisakh, (2) Jaistha, (3) Ashadha, (4) Srabana, (5) Bhadrava, (6) Aswina, (7) Kartika, (8) Margasira, (9) Pausa, (10) Magha, (11) Phalguna, (12) Chaitra.

Just like the Western/Gregorian Calendar, there are six seasons in the Biraja Odia Calendar, as well: (1) Grishma, (2) Barsha, (3) Sharada, (4) Hemanta, (5) Shita, (6) Basanta.
