Every year, the Adivasi exhibition grounds host the Odisha Tribal Festival, also known as the Tribal Exhibition Festival. It is an event in which many tribal communities come together to display their tribal art, culture, traditions, handicrafts, handlooms, and, most importantly, dance and music. It is a common event that provides entertainment for both tribal peoples and members of modern society. Everyone enjoyed the event and had a great time together.

Tribal Mela takes place in the heart of the capital and smart city of Bhubaneswar. As we know, more than 62 different types of tribal communities have been discovered in Odisha, with many more yet to be discovered, so people from many tribes attend the tribal peoples festival, which is held every year in the state capital. This festival allows general and tribal people to get to know each other better.

The National Tribal Craft Mela will feature 14 states, including Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Odisha, showcasing their exquisite products such as bamboo craft, lacquer craft, paddy craft, stonework, sabai and siali craft, woodcraft, leaf craft, tribal painting, iron craft, textiles, and more.

Both national events were inaugurated today by Jagannath Saraka, Hon’ble Minister for ST & SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare, Law, Government of Odisha. Smt. Sulochana Das, Mayor of the BMC, Smt. Roopa Roshan Sahoo, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, ST & SC Development, M & BCW Department, Indramani Tripathy, Director, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Research and Training Institute, Bhubaneswar, and other dignitaries attended the inaugural function.
