On September 18, 1989, the Regional Science Centre, situated on 8 acres in the temple city of Bhubaneswar, was inaugurated for the nation. This Centre is part of a network of 26 science centers/science museums under the National Council of Science Museums, an independent council operating under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
