On September 18, 1989, the Regional Science Centre, situated on 8 acres in the temple city of Bhubaneswar, was inaugurated for the nation. This Centre is part of a network of 26 science centers/science museums under the National Council of Science Museums, an independent council operating under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.Regional Science Centre (Science Park), Bhubaneswar Odisha Through its exhibits, the Centre seeks to encourage a scientific mindset and promote science and technology among individuals from diverse backgrounds, especially students in Odisha. On this occasion, Shri Bansidhar Mohapatra, ISS, Retd. Asst. The director of the National Sample Survey of India delivered a talk at the Regional Science Centre in Bhubaneswar on the topic “Rising World Population and the Impact on Our Natural Resources.”Regional Science Centre (Science Park), Bhubaneswar OdishaDuring the session, Shri Mohapatra emphasized the significance of the day and addressed challenges such as food scarcity, the detrimental effects of population growth on the environment, and natural resources, along with potential solutions. Following this, an Open House Quiz Competition took place, with more than 120 participants engaging interactively.
