Saptasajya HillStation, Situated the top hill lies Saptasajya. The location is referred to be the Saptashis’ (the Seven Sages’) throne, and it appears to be heaven. The hill range is located 11 kilometers southwest of the town of Dhenkanal. The Pandavas of Mahabharat also spent several days at their Ajyanta Barnabas, according to the old tradition of the prince Rama. In Dhenkanal, Saptasajya Hill is a well-liked location for picnics. In the winter, a lot of people visit the hills because of their natural beauty and the thick forest. Numerous little and huge waterfalls may be found in Saptasajya Hill Station.

Saptasajya is one of the Eco- Spiritual/ Eco- Tourism sites in the District of Dhenkanal. The name of Saptasajya is due to the conglomeration of seven numbers of hills with rich vegetation and nos. of perennial streams forming a habitat for a wide range of animals, and birds. The altitude of hills varies from 300 Mt. to 586 Mt. from MSL. The forest biodiversity has been further enriched with several Medicinal herbs.

According to popular tradition, Lord Ramachandra, his wife Sita, and their brother Laxman are said to have spent seven days at Saptasajya during their exile during the “Tretaya Yuga.” The “Pandavas” had spent a few days here on their “Agyanta Basa” during the “Dwapara Yuga.” Saptasajya’s calm, peaceful, and hustle-free setting attracted a lot of Sadhus who practiced “Yoga.”
